The Riverbed vase

Hand thrown by Asta Ceramics, Leeds

Asta throws these for us in a converted mill outside Leeds, in a clay the colour of a dry riverbed. No two come out the same: the throwing lines stay visible and the rims wander a little.

It is happiest with three stems and some water, but it earns its keep empty on a shelf. This is the thing people come back for after buying one as a present.

Size About 18cm tall, 12cm across. Each one varies slightly.

Care Holds water without fuss. Wipe clean, no dishwasher.

Delivery and collection

Collect free from the shop: we set it aside as soon as the order lands and keep it behind the till for a week. Local delivery is £3 anywhere in Merebridge, dropped round within a couple of days. UK post is £3.95, wrapped properly and tracked, two to three working days.

Returns and breakages

Changed your mind? Bring it back or post it back within 30 days, unused, and we refund it, no forms. If anything arrives chipped or broken, send us a photo and a replacement goes out the same week.

Gift wrapping

Free. Say so in the order note and it leaves the shop wrapped in brown paper and ribbon, receipt left out. We can post it straight to the person it is for.
